Taittinger Comtes de Champagne
Taittinger Comtes de Champagne (Sold in cases of 6 bottles) Anticipated maturity: 2014-2034. 96 points – The Wine Advocate. Beautifully presented in wooden lacquerer box. With its crystalline purity and sheer energy, the 2004 is all about minerality, precision and tension. Bright hints of lemon oil, white flowers and crushed rocks are layered into the pointed, vibrant finish.
Tasting notes: Fresh, pears, peaches, citrus, floral notes. Still quite coiled and young, this has a great future but zero harm in having now either. Very generous aromas of toasty bread & brioche on the nose. Pale colour. Lots of toasty bread & biscuits, white fruit and quite yeasty. Great mousse! Also, some stony minerality, with almond and vanilla notes. A fairly crisp acidity. Good length and wonderful complexity.
Quantity: 6x 75cl bottles
