Tasting Notes:
The wine presents a light gold colour, a delicate bouquet of yellow plums, nectarine, pear drops, gooseberry, honeysuckle and ripe figs and hints of vanilla and spice. Rich but balanced, soft and very approachable. A lovely creamy palate is developing with salinity and a long luscious finish.
Vintage Notes:
2023 had perfect conditions for flowering and fruit set and a warm and dry harvest period the quality of the fruit was excellent and we harvested in early October.
Production Notes:
An ambient ferment was allowed for the first 5 days and there was an extended low temperature ferment after which the wine was transferred to three year old Chardonnay barrels and left over winter and early spring but not allowed to go to malolactic fermentation, The wine was bottled in March 2024.
