Tasting Notes:
Extraordinarily elegant. Deep saskatoon and raspberry fruit. Pressed pepper and petals and menthol spices. Serious, with gravitas, but no weight. Elvin, in a way, yet a sense of power. Cursive tannins drawing a slow but exquisitely tempered structure, dipped in old ground-stone ink.
Stark-Condé were named in the ‘First Growth’ category of Tim Atkin’s special report on South Africa in 2019 whilst winemaker Rudger van Wyk was named Young Winemaker of the Year 2019.
